Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 21, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Camino Systems LLC ("Camino," "we," "us") handles information collected through the travelcamino.app waitlist site (the "Site"). Camino is building a travel companion app, launching first in Peru. This policy covers only the pre-launch waitlist Site. A separate, fuller privacy policy will apply to the Camino app when it launches.

1. What we collect and why

When you join the waitlist, we collect:

  • Your email address.
  • A short "source" label that records which form or page your signup came from.
  • The date and time of your signup.

We collect this only to operate the waitlist: to notify you about the launch, to send you early-access or product updates related to the waitlist, and to understand which signup pages people use. We do not collect your name, location, payment details, device identifiers, or any other personal information through the Site. We do not use cookies, advertising trackers, or third-party analytics.

2. Legal basis (for users in the EU/EEA and the UK)

Where the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation applies, our legal basis for sending you waitlist and launch communications is your consent, given when you submit your email to join the waitlist. You can withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing or by contacting us (see Your rights below). Withdrawing consent does not affect communications already sent.

3. Who processes your data

We store waitlist data using Supabase, our database provider, acting as our data processor. Access is restricted by row-level security so that only our server-side systems can read or write waitlist records.

4. No sale, no sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We share it only with Supabase, as described above, and only as needed to run the waitlist. We do not currently use a separate email-delivery provider; if we add one, we will update this policy to name it.

5. Where your data is stored and international transfers

Waitlist data is stored on Amazon Web Services infrastructure used by Supabase in the US East (Ohio) region (us-east-2), in the United States. If you are located outside the United States, your data will be processed in the United States. Where required, international transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

6. How long we keep your data

We keep waitlist data until the earliest of: (a) the app launches and you either become a user or decline; (b) you ask us to delete it; or (c) 24 months after your signup. After that we delete or anonymize it.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to withdraw consent, and to object to or restrict its processing. Residents of the EU and UK have these rights under the GDPR. California residents have rights under the CCPA and CPRA, including the right to know and the right to delete; because we do not sell or share personal information as those laws define it, the opt-out-of-sale right does not apply to the Site. Residents of Peru have rights under Peru's Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 29733). To exercise any right, email us at hello@caminosystems.co. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

8. Contact

Camino Systems LLC. For any privacy question or request, email hello@caminosystems.co.

9. Children

The Site and the waitlist are not directed to children. You must be at least 16 years old to join the waitlist.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest version. A separate, more detailed privacy policy will apply to the Camino app at launch.
